Now some of the details of the games

May 11th (Event #06)  NL Hold'em Heads Up

SCOOP-06-L  NL Hold'em [Heads-Up]

10'960 players, 1024 get paid

7:00pm - 7:30pm   First round, wasn't too bad, managed to get some reads.  Blind aggression seemed to work OK as well :)
8:10pm - 8:35pm   Second round, got lucky in early stages and managed to keep chip lead most of the time.   Took it steady and kept chipping away and luckily strategy paid off and got through
9:10pm - 9:35pm  Third round.  Tough game, up and down a lot more, got lucky in places, but felt I played well
10:15pm - 10:25pm  Fourth round, just have to win this to get into the money !  Sadly not able to do so, finishing 1852nd   :(  77 < KK

May 12th (Event #09)  NL Hold'em

SCOOP-09-L   NL Hold'em

3 hour late registration is a bit daunting... just hope can make it past that milestone !   Also goes on for 32 levels (around 4am by my calculation) before resuming next day.... oh well, fingers crossed :)

Break 1: 2188 of 12003 remaining players (13'829 entries)  7410 chips / 5758 avg
Break 2: 5892 of 11547  (17'059)  6085 / 7379
Break 3: 4610 of 8873   (19'623)  8742 / 11057

Finished 6'594th place, but at least I lasted past the late registration close :)     2'475 get paid from the 19'623 runners

May 13th (Event #12)  NL Hold'em

SCOOP-12-L  NL Hold'em [Ante Up]

3 hour late registration again.

Break 1: 1189 of 5400 remaining players (7081 entries)  8538 chips / 6560 avg
Lost 12k chips on last hand of level set over set (all in on flop)
Break 2: 1821 of 5052 (9755)   10148 / 9637
Break 3: 1993/3889  (11'779)   11352 / 15143
Break 4: 954/1951    (11779)   25302/30187
Managed to get away from AA on J99 flop vs 2 players.  One had AJ, but other had 98!   1530 get paid, so we're in the money :)
Break 5: 567/1173              42821/50208
Break 6: 403/642               56447/91736
Hit flush on turn, got it all in vs 2 pair.  Villain hit Full House on the river, sending me out in 533rd place for $24.09

May 15th (Event #18)  NL Hold'em 6-Max shootout

SCOOP-18-L   NL Hold'em 6-Max shootout

No late entry, which I prefer but need to get all the chips every table!

5847 runners and 1296 places pay.  Just need to get through first round!

Round 1:  Sadly my AQ < KQ (got rivered!) and 3/4 my stack is gone about 3 hands into the game (playing 4 handed)   Made a small recovery to about half starting stack, but with blinds going up it was always going to be double up or out soon enough.... so an early bath for me finishing 5104th place

May 19th (Event #30)  NL Hold'em

SCOOP #30-L

Wasn't sure if I'd make it, as went to my Mum's this afternoon and stopped for dinner in carvery on way back.  Despite that, and a little technical trouble with my laptop when I got home, managed to register at 7:20pm (20 mins into the 3 hour late registration !   Only 8 hours playing time left before we break for the day !!

Start with 5000 chips and around 8800 players, but the number of players will rise for sure

Took it steady, except against very aggro player who I managed to take out.  So far so good!
Break 1: 1569 of 10312 remaining players (11996 entries)  8053 chips / 5810 avg
Took a small hit which put me back to starting stack, then last hand of level took gamble which didn't pay off and ended up dropping half my stack.   Will need to get busy and lucky in next level :)
Break2:  9638 / 10196 (15316)   2359 / 7504
Soon after the restart, got 77 and decided to re-raise all in, sadly someone woke up with KK behind and hit K on flop for good measure!
Finished 10'440th out of 15'851 entries

Summing up

Wow, what a marathon of Poker!  All very enjoyable of course and overall quite profitable, which can never be a bad thing.  It's a shame I wasn't able to convert my success at winning seats into actual cashes in the tournament, but am happy with my strategy in the end.

The situation with my playing 2x 8-Game's at the same time was a little unfortunate but at least I had two shots I suppose (would have been nicer to take the cash for the Mid-level seat!) and playing two SCOOP on the same day is probably never a good idea either :)

Last year I made a loss overall, so am definitely happy with the results, WCOOP is the next series Smile
