Poker: TCOOP campaign

I normally avoid Turbo Poker games as don't think they suit my playing style all that well.  It may come as a surprise then to find out I have been playing PokerStars Turbo Championship Of Online Poker (TCOOP)  :)

The fact that the games are over relatively quickly and the potential prizes are huge was a great draw.  Also most of the games are very reasonable buy-ins which makes the whole affair relatively cheap compared to WCOOP and even some of the SCOOP games

Of course being enthusiastic about the tournaments doesn't necessarily translate into results...... so here's how I did...

1.   TCOOP-06: $55 NL Hold'em [6-Max, Shootout, No Late Registration], $100K Gtd

3.  TCOOP-33: $27 Razz, $25K Gtd

Normal entry fee $27
satellite fees paid  $12.55 ($14.45 discount)
Result : 4070 from 8800 runners
Amount won : $0

4.  TCOOP-36: $82 NL Hold'em [6-Max], $150K Gtd

Normal entry fee $82
satellite fees paid  $70.00 ($12.00 discount)
Result : 1251 from 3225 runners
Amount won : $0

5.  TCOOP-48: $320 8-Game, $100K Gtd

Normal entry fee $82

Didn't make event
Amount won : $0

Summary

Total outgoings: $158.30
Total discount : $ 63.10
Total winnings : $  0.00

OK, so I saved myself some cash compared to direct buy-in’s, but probably need to review my Satellite strategy as I still spent quite a bit !     The events themselves were quite fun and had some bad beats and good fortune to keep it interesting….

Next year I will probably plan it out a bit better as was a bit slapdash approach !
