General: Royal Military Academy

The RMA Sandhurst had a "Heritage Day" Sunday 18th June. Admission was free, so we decided to go :-)
It was quite interesting as the public were allowed into the buildings to see some of the areas, most of which had historic artifacts and/or military related paintings. Outside they had various bands, vehicles, activities etc which all made for an interesting few hours wandering around.
There is also a lot of woodlands and lakes, which we didn't walk around this time, but was very picturesque.
Although we only sampled the ice cream, there was various catering points, with very reasonable prices. The Gurkus had a curry tent which was only £3 a meal.... just a shame I don't like curry really.... and the cream teas looked wonderful but we decided to leave before lunch so didn't get a chance to sample those either.
Haven't seen the heritage day event advertised before, so will have to look out for it next year, probably go for lunch next time
